SNOWFEST 24-26th of March 2017

SNOWFEST is the official Sled Dogs annual weekend of Snowskating, Socialising, and After-skate organised especially for Sled Dogs Snowskaters of all ages, nationalities, and abilities.

The basic concept is to have a full weekend (Fri-Sun) of Sled Dogs fun – year-in, year-out, same time, same place! It’s all about getting together with Snowskaters from around the world, swapping stories, trading tricks, and enjoying a beautiful, exclusive mountain location and the Sled Dogs feel-good vibe together.

Not only that, SNOWFEST will also feature a full BONEFIGHT competition in which the best riders in the world will battle it out for the title of World Snowskating Champion! After the podium there will be a proper After-skate party and Norwegian-style banquet open to all ticket-holders.

For anyone who loves Sled Dogs Snowskates, SNOWFEST really will be the definitive calendar event of the year and simply unmissable!

SNOWFEST for Europe will be in Les Gets, France the 24-26 th of March 2017. Asia and North America SNOWFEST dates to be released later in the season.

More on the SNOWFEST Location

SNOWFEST will be held in the beautiful resort of Les Gets in the French Alps (about 1 hour from Geneve airport) at the La Grande – Sled Dogs Hotel. This very special hotel with its own ski-lift is one of the very few remaining in the Alps that is family-owned and run and it is now also home to the local Sled Dogs Distributor. I personally visited the hotel last season together with Ingi Freyr Sveinbjornsson, Laszlo Karsai, and Sebastien Cramier and we were just enchanted by the location and the friendly, family welcome. I was so impressed when we went out in the morning to get breakfast and check out the center of the village, and there was Pierre, 76 years old, drilling and putting up fences on his slope – smiling and enjoying it as if it were his first time opening up the slope. Epic! Later in the day we were going up and down the hill and we caught sight of his smiling daughter helping out fixing the lift. It was just magical. So nice to see this charming hotel and ski lift run by such a passionate father and daughter. We are proud to invite all Sled Doggers to this gem of a skislope for the first SNOWFEST!
